Has anyone ever thought about enabling the PS2 to go online VIA USB adapter?

not possible. the ps2 won't recognize the usb adapter. you need to use the network adapter (fat) or the built in ethernet port (slim).

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Not even if some one can create something to work with a external HDD with the slim?

I was just pondering it as I am sick and tired of dealing with so many wires around my apartment. My PS2 is in a spot where there is not a phone line and so is my PC. I have to use a wireless USB adapter for my PC and put the modem in another room cause of this also.

The lease says absolutely no extra lines be it phone or cable and I cant even hang pictures either.

no. the ps2 can't send or receive wireless signal. there is no driver designed for the ps2, and there is no way to install drivers.

there may be possibility in using a second router configured as a wireless bridge.

Well I had to pick up a new slim today. My other is shot and I decided to actually watch the Networking Videos that came on the Network disk ( I was very bored ). It says that it is possible by doing the simplest thing, hooking up a network bridge to the Ethernet cable jack.

Thats simple enough for me. I could just use a super short cable to run it to the bridge being limited for space.
