3.71 M33- back to official Sony firmware?

I have been running cfw 3.71 M33 on my PSP, and a friend of mine has asked me to put the custom firmware on his PSP too. The only thing is that he wants to know if he can always go back to official Sony fw if he wanted to. (As if there would be any reason to go back!)

Would I be able to downgrade to 1.50 from recovery mode, and then upgrade to official sony firmware? Or are you unable to use any official fw once the motherboard has been patched for the custom fw?

If you downgraded to 1.50 you wouldn't be able to upgrade past 3.30 I think. This is due to the ID storage patch that the downgrader uses.

But as SL7Rips has stated you can install 3.71 official firmware with a Pandora Battery + Universal Unbricker V3 (Magic memory Stick).

This will let you install 3.71 M33 to the PSP or you can install 3.71 official firmware which will correct any issues that the downgraders might have caused letting you update the PSP to higher official firmware.

HERE is a guide that walks you through making a Pandora Battery and Universal Unbricker V3 (Magic Memory Stick). This is the safest and easiest way to upgrade your friends PSP to 3.71 M33-2 custom firmware.

only applies if u used DA's 2.71 downgrader (or was it 2.81?) lol
