I haven't touched my psp since I bricked my psp. But I unbricked it with pandora's battery ^_^ and have fw 3.03 OE-C. I'm kind of lost on how to play iso's because I'm used to having to decrypt prx files and using umdgen to recreate the file in order for them to work for 1.5. But now, all I have to do is back up the game and just put them in the ISO folder and they will work? I was also wondering if I can play psx games with fw 3.03 OE-C or do I have to have 3.02 cfw?

My PSP History:
1.00 >1.5>2.00>1.5>3.03 OE-C>BRICKED>Pandora battery ^_^>1.5>3.03 OE-C>3.52 M33-2>3.71 M33-4

You're better off just upgrading to one of the latest CFWs so that you can play newer isos too. I just went from 3.40 OE-A to 3.71 M33 myself because certain newer games wouldn't boot but I think psx games weren't playable until the OE-A firmwares anyway. There's a couple of easy installers for the newer stuff so it's actually worth the 10 minutes to dl and install them.

Update your firmware to 3.71 M33-2 using this Pandora Battery and Universal Unbricker V3 guide HERE.

Then go HERE and follow these steps to get your ISO/CSO files working of memory Stick.

When you get to that stage we will talk more about PSX games.

You need to find a PSX/PSP game version of the PSX game or get an IMG file of a PSX game and convert it to an EBOOT with this program HERE.

After you have got the PSX game converted or downloaded to an EBOOT format place the EBOOT into a folder named whatever the game is. Then place that folder in the /PSP/GAME folder.

Example: ms0:/PSP/GAME/FinalFantasyDisc1/EBOOT.PBP

Now play it via Game Menu Memory Stick.

Not all games will be compatible with 3.71 kernel. So you can download this popsloader plugin HERE that will let you emulate other kernel version that possibly could get the PSX game working on your PSP. Just make sure you download the 3.71 M33-3/M33-4 version of the plugin and follow the directions for instillation and use.

Also with multi-disc games like FFVII you need to edit the game data and game save ID #'s so you can continue the game save from 1 disc to another. Go HERE and take a look at this thread for more information.

with final fantasy, I looked at the files and all 3 or 4 cds they have at least 15 parts, do I have to compress that to one eboot with one of those programs? I will look at the thread now

@Larrylje
I used your guide Universal Unbricker V3 guide to get my phat psp to 3.71 M33-4. Managed to get iso/cso working as i posted on UUV3 forum.Now i'm trying to get some ps1 games to work and im having problems. I have (Pal) ps1 games. I've tried about 10 games using autopopstation4.Then i tried popstation GUI on a couple of games. I would get message :The game could not be started(80000004) on all games using both popstation versions. Then i saw your guide 3.71 M33-3/M33-4 popsloader plugins. I enabled the plugins and got 3 of the games to work. Tomb Raider-Cronicles worked on 3.03 pops and the other 2 games Spyro2 and Medievil worked on Original from flash. A day later Medievil comes up with :The game could not be started(80000004) .I tried from Original from flash to3.00 pops on all games. MS is supported. Any help would be much apprieciated.
