I have been through the forums and have tried everybodys tips on how to install 1.50 kernel add-on and I can't seem to get it to work. I placed the add-on2 files in the PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder and the 150.PBP renamed from the EBOOT.PBP file from the first 1.50 add-on in the root folder with all the other files in the extracted file. When I execute the file, I get an error say incorrect or inconsistent 150.PBP file and then it quits. Need some guidance. When I go through the recovery menu for M33 and look at the configuration, I can change between 3.71 and 1.50. What exactly is the 1.50 add-on?

wrong dude, the 150.PBP should go on the root of the memory stick...

in other words X:\150.PBP

Thats it!

PSP (+[__]%): 2.80 < 1.50 > 3.40OE-A > 3.71M33-4 > 3.80m33-5 > 3.90m33-3 > 4.01m33-2 + 8gb MSPD
PS3 HD 60GB: 1.33 > 1.90 > 2.01 > 2.17 - NO OS
Nintendo DS [+[__]%]: EZ Flash 5 Plus + 1GB MicroSD + EZFlash 3in1
Nintendo Wii: 3.2U + 1GB SD Card + WiiKey 1.9s

drakex,
here are the files that i have, so help me out with what goes where.
these are from the 150_addon: eboot.pbp, libpsardumper.prx and pspdecrypt.prx. 150_addon2 have the following files: eboot.pbp, ipl_update.prx, libpsardumper.prx and pspdecrypt.prx. which of the 2 eboot.pbp files gets changed to 150.pbp and which of the files go into the update and root folders? thanks for your help.

u dont need both updates

just 150_addon2 is sufficient

the 4 files u mention will be in ms0:\psp\game

the 150.pbp will be renamed as update.pbp and put into ms0:\

where ms0:\ is the root of ur drive where u can find the folders such as MP_ROOT and PSP and MUSIC

that should do it

you don't rename the 150.pbp to update.pbp

here is what you do
#rename the 150 update eboot to 150.pbp and place it in the root of your memstick
#put the kernel 150 addon 2 update folder in GAME folder on memstick
#scroll to game on xmb and launch the programme
#thats it you now have the 1.50 kernel

drakex and sicdude is correct on this.

If you place the files like they said to place them then it should work.

If you still get the error message then rename the 150.PBP to just 150 drop the .PBP at the end.
