I am trying to find the best protection bundle package for my home network. I have a small collection of some of the more popular tools to work with but I want to get a better idea of what order to install them from new installs and how best to use (what order, what should or should not be running at the saem time).

I right now on my onw workstation use Symantics Server and client x64 AntiVirus, Spybot S&D, The Cleaner v5, and Ad-Aware 2007 Pro. one of my PC's had Panda Platinum 2007 and another Norton 2007 but returned some problems with eachother.

So I hope to gather info here from other users and the types of protection suites used for both basic and advanced server/client on small home office network.

Thankx in advance!

Hopefully I am understanding this correctly. You want to completely remove Symantac Anti-virus right? The only way I was ever able to do so was to boot up in safe mode, then edit the registry, removing all keys and strings that have to do with Symantac, then deleted all file folders for the program. Hope this helps. Let me know.

I'd use:

1) Avast!AntiVirus
2) Spyware Terminator

You'll never have a problem again. Spyware Terminator sits in your system tray and it prevents spyware infections; it also does a quick scan on a daily basis when you first start your PC.
