burning with nero 6 using ritek g03 at 2x?

im currently having a problem burning at 2x with nero 6.0.0.23 it will only give me the option to burn at 1x. i am using a pioneer dvr-104 with the firmware hack 1.40 2x4 all. is there a version of nero that will give me this option. ive been able to burn at 2x with prassi primodvd 2.0. any info would be appreciated. sorry if this question has been answered multiple times but i was unable to find an answer from the forum.

srtboy, go to www.dvdrhelp.com Section under dvd writers. Shows specs for your machine plus a lot of comments from owners. It shows it only does 1x on dvd-rw media and 2x on r media. You didn't say what you were using. Hope this helps. Jerry

the dvd-r im using are ridata ritek g03 grade a from meritline.com. there website says to use firmware 1.31 to burn stable at 2x but my pioneer dvr-104 came with 1.32 so i updated the firmware with gradius's firmware hack v1.40 (RPC-1 + 2x for all). i just don't understand why i cant burn at 2x with Nero when i can burn 2x with prassi. ive tried downgrading Nero to 5.5.9.14 but it still only lets my burn at 1x. im sure i will figure it out in time just wanted to know if anyone had the same experiences as myself. anyways thanx for the link jerry much appreciated.

fixed the problem it was a firmware issue not a software or media problem.
