I just got an DVD burner, using Nero software.
I downloaded a decrypter and shrinker from mrbass.org. It isn't working, not sure what to do. I just now I downloaded AnyDVD. The burning was successful but I wasn't able to copy it. Any thoughts on what I can do?
If this question is in the wrong place, please tell me where the right place is.
Thank you,
Sara

First thing to do is removed DVD Decrypter from your PC, it's old and outdated and won't be updated any more. Next download DVDFab HD Decrypter (free ~ http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm ) and use it when your AnyDVD trial expires, I'd also suggest Imgburn (free ~ http://www.imgburn.com ) for the burning process and leave Nero alone for now.

From here your process will be in three steps:

1. Rip the movie to your HDD using DVDFab HD Decrypter.
2. Compress your movie, if needed, with DVD Shrink.
3. Burn to blank DVD with Imgburn.

Here is a nice guide with lots of pretty pictures in it, just skip the FixVTS/VobBlanker step.

I respectfully disagree with that statement. I have heard dvddecrypter wont decrypt certain stuff, but i personally havnt run into one yet.
(2-3 a month). Also, i find alot of burn software tends to get "cute" with image burns. i find decrypter to be a simple, reliable image burn for cd and dvd. I realize there will be no more updates, but until it fails me several times, i will continue to use it. also, its good for noobs, as its default settings work fine for most stuff.
No offense meant, just putting in my 2 cents.

I'm with philzone on this one in that I still need dvdd because I use ripit4me, and dvdd is an integral part of ripit4me.
