cannot read the umd and the games will not spin help?!

The umd icon will not come up on the psp and the game does not spin as it did before what could this be?

You should take your PSP to a games store and ask them to see if they can fix it. You can optionally mod your PSP if you can do it - but it's safer if you bring it to a games store.

when he says "mod it yourself" he was referring to swapping/repairing the parts yourself. The link i provided shows you how to determine if its a problem with your umd drive.

Theres a disassembly guide on that site as well if you need one.
