Hey everyone, I have a PS2 Version 12 or 13 slimline (I don't really think it matters between those two when it comes to modchips)
I've recently been checking around for modchips, but can't decide on one that would work for me. I've read websites that claim they can do some cool features, but I havn't found a shop that sells those modchips..
So out of these few features, can someone tell me a modchip that matches all, or at least a majority of these features? And can you please reccommend a good website?
Oh and please, no fliptop or any other stuff.. I don't like any of those ;P
1. Definitely must play all jap/pal PS2 imports/homebrews
2. Hopefully plays all PS1 imports too
3. Has flash memory in it for homebrews, I've seen some with 2MB, which are fine with me.
4. Able to download programs to using a CD rom or something of the sort, such as putting an emulator onto it to run SNES/NES/GBA.
5. Semi-easy setup, or comes with all solder wires needed, maybe 20 or less wire setup?
6. A reasonable price.. ;P
7. Easy-to-use
Although price really isn't a factor, the cheaper it is, the better.
I've got a PS2 slim V17-ish and I've decided to get a Modbo 4.0 chip for it (after the Xmas rush though). It's around $20 US I think and it does a bunch of stuff, although I'm not sure about the homebrew stuff, but it does it's job.
