It took me hours on end, but I currently have 3.52 custom firmware and would like to play games like gta vice city, madden 08, fifa 08. I know of some torrent sites that I can download these files, and then if they are .rar files I just use winrar to extract them and I will see iso files. I've heard of certain programs like umd emulator, and fast loader, but aren't these just for the older games. So what program I should use for some of the newer iso's, and what would be the best way to compress them. Also I'm not too intelligent with stuff like this, so it would be great if you could let me know what folder i would stick the iso's into as well.
I know this is alot to ask, but i strongly appreciate any help that I can get.
Program to Compress games: UMD GEN V4 - google it.
Format your Memory Stick with your recently upgraded PSP, you should get an ISO folder inside the stick, put the games ISOs and CSOs inside that folder.
so I just put the games in that folder, and where would I find them on my system. Then I can just play them right off my psp without umd-emulator, or a type of loader? I'm sorry about asking this question again, I just wanted to make sure that I really didn't need them.

in the psp just go to your psp menu and your iso's should appear..like any homebrew does
the file i downloaded came in as .rar. I extracted it and it came out as a cso file. Do i have to convert it to an iso, or is it fine as it is. if it's fine as a cso, would I still be able to compress it with umd gen v4, because it only talks about iso

A CSO is a compressed ISO so i suggest keep it that way...saves up space
CSO and ISO are the only two things that the psp reads as UMD games...or how ever u wanna say it...lol...XD
