I'm buying a PCI SATA Card. I'm wondering if these cheap Ebay items are worth it? or will they break my console?

since it has the VIA 6421a chipset, it should work. with that said, nothing is guaranteed. however, no it won't "break" your console. your 360 drive will either be recognized, or it won't. but it won't break your console.
