Just a few minutes ago I installed ImgBurn onto my computer. When I open ImgBurn, down the bottom of the window it says "Device not ready" (Medium not Found). What does this mean? Is it just because I don't ahve a blank DVD in the DVD Drive.

Right, if you had a disk in there, it wouldn't say that.

I am not very wised up on computers. I have just downloaded DVDFab HD Decrypter onto my computer as I have been getting Burn Errors with DVD Shrink 3.1. The error message says that there was a copy protection error. My DVD Shrink analyses and backs the DVD OK as far as I can tell but won't burn onto a blank DVD and ejects the blank DVD all the time. The last DVD Shrink would not do was Shrek The Third. Do I for example, open DVDFab Hd Decripter to copy say, Shrek and then open ImgBurn to copy it to a blank DVD. I'm not sure how to go about it. I've only had my new notebook for 6 weeks now and am using the internet for the very first time. I've never heard of or used forums before.

No problem man, welcome to the internet. I tried all your programs, I found AnyDvd (look for it on the thepiratebay.org) works the best, it just rips any copy protected dvd to your computer, then you can use your burning program (I use Nero) to burn it. I wouldn't use imgburn, but guess you could, I just associate imgburn with game isos. You'll get it, just keep on downlo about copying DVDs, the moderators might give you crap about it.

Thanks,I've just read a bit of the guide on DVDFab HD Decrypter and from what I understand, it sounds like I will be able to burn/copy movies using the DVDFab HD Decrypter. Does that sound right.

Yeah, Im sure it will work, hear a lot of people talk about the Decrypter program. But I'm telling you AnyDVD is the way to go, copies everything, and then u just burn with ur burner program.

Thanks for that, I read a bit more of the users guide on DVDFab HD Decripter and it sounds very complicated (a little bit out of my league)as it went into a lot of technical stuff, settings and so on. AnyDVD is sounding more appealing. Is it free to download? Could you give me the exact website for me to download it from. The last DVD that Shrink 3.1 wouldn't burn to a blank DVD was Shrek The Third, because of a copy protection error. Do you think AnyDVD and Nero would do this OK. Are the steps you use with AnyDVD similer to shrink; ie dou you click on open disk to analyse the DVD then back it up by clicking on backup. How does Nero burn the movie that has been backed up with AnyDVD? How does Nero find the movie that AnyDVD has backed up. I have Nero 7 Essentials.
