Can't burn Dual Layer

I have been burning DVD's successfully for about a year now with no problems, using DVD Shink, DVD Decryptor, and Rip It 4 Me. But ever since I installed Windows Vista I have been having problems burning Dual Layer DVDs. I have made all 3 of these programs to where they run in compatibility mode and to where I run them as an administrator. But no matter what program I use, whenever I try to burn DL I get an error message. I can burn DVD's in compressed single layer though. When I try this in DVD Shrink, this is the error I get:

When I ran Vista, I used all the programs you mentioned & never had to run them in Compatibility mode. Your DL should be easy, either ISO or Full Dvd rip, then use ImgBurn in ISO Wtite Mode or Build Mode. Plenty of guides available at ImgBurn. BTW, when you do your clean install of Nero, update it to the latest version.

so I just ran the clean tools and then reinstalled Nero 7
Then downloaded and ran the Roxio Zap
I then tried to burn another DL but am still continuing to get an error message:

I know that Verbatims are supposed to be better and all, but the DL discs that I am trying to use are the same ones that I have always used successfully in the past.

Did you run both 6 and 7 clean tools?
Nero 6 driver is what you are using.
As johnl123 said, Nero is not great for DL media.
Why are you using Shrink if you are using DL blanks?
I am curious, why did you switch to Vista?

Yes, they much better.
Your success in the past may just have been luck.
I have burned a thousand DVD-5 discs with a few coasters because I use good media.
DL are more difficult, but experince shows only Verbatium 2.4x to be dependable.

I see what you are talking about with the 6 driver but I did run 6 and 7, they both only show that the only nero stuff that is installed on my computer is nero 7. I uninstalled and then reinstalled 7 just for the heck of it and it did nothing. I use dvd decryptor too but have been getting error messages with just about every program that I try.

Do not worry about the Nero interface version as Nero if I am not mistaken did not update the interface and used an earlier version for Version 7
1.I know that you like those DVD-9's but the log is showing this:
Insert empty disc to write to.
(Medium in drive: unknown. Medium required by compilation: DVD R/RW, DVD R DL.) It is not recog. that blank media know so you really need to get the Verbatims
2.The next error: 9:40:53 PM #23 Text 0 File DVDPlusDualLayer.cpp, Line 670
L0 Data Zone Capacity not set. A layer break was not set. Do the D/L Disks using Imgburn as you can set the layer break or it will use the original break. Just rip the whole DVD to the HD and then use the read function of Imgburn. After reading then use the Write function and it should ask you about the layer break
