Hello. I have a serious problem with GameShark 2 v5 (actually GameShark 2 v1.3); I noticed that it's possible to zip up your saves on the memory card, and copy them to a USB drive. I thought, "Cool! Now I can back up my memory card saves, and restore them when I need to, no problem!" Yeah, well, there's just one very serious problem with that. For some very stupid reason - don't ask me why - after zipping them up, copying them to a USB drive, and copying them to my computer, I deleted them off the memory card. Now, in attempting to restore the saves from the USB drive to the memory card - that part actually works - I go to unzip them, and, GameShark APPEARS to unzip them (Unzipping "such-and-such", please wait...), but in fact does NOT unzip them; they appear to be corrupted! Now, I know that isn't the case, as I have opened the memory card up in the PS2 browser, and the icons are the "normal" green box icon indicative of a save that has been zipped by GameShark. ...This is, very disturbing, to say the least; I have five YEARS of saves riding on this! (If only I had unzipped the saves before copying them...) It just won't work! Can I change the Root/ID of the saves to something that will work, using that PS2 SaveBuilder utility? (Which, BTW, recognizes them as Sharkport (*.md) files; simply renaming the files from .ps2 to .md does the trick. I noticed that the Root/IDs of all the compressed saves is XPKDAN_*, where * is a number from 0 to, uh, the highest number ID I saw was XPKDAN_13. They appear to be levels of compression, or something, but I have no way to tell.) Please, someone... Anyone... Help me! I'm ready to tear my hair out!!
