I got a general ?, nothing about the labor of modding, but as for the software. If I buy a BRAND NEW 360 today, and say it s a BENQ. Does this 1.4 ix w/jitter fix protect me even if I have a bad CRC on a backup of of say COD4 like everyone is geting? If not can I fix the bad CRC on the iso file on my computer?

not entirely sure, as i don't play on xbl, so i don't worry about it. but seems to be if you have a bad crc, couldn't you just re-rip using the latest version of xbc? just a thought

From what I understand, M$ is more focussed on finding faults in the firmware. That's why most people are getting banned. As for the question though, yes, I'm pretty sure the new Ix protects from faulty crc.
