I recently purchased a Pioner 112D and when I install it into my computer it says the system can not detect. What am I doing wrong? When I put my other dvd player back in it runs fine. Help please I would like to do some backups and isos.

I went back and matched them up. I still get Secondary hard disk drive 0 and Secondary drive 1 not found. I feel like it is so simple and I just can't quite see what needs to happen.

I have a similar problem. I installed this same burner on my brother's pc running vista and said that it couldn't install it properly. It only has one drive in the bay. The jumpers are set to master. When I go to device manager it does acknowlege that it is a pioneer drive but for some reason couldn't install the correct drivers. When I update the driver it tells me that it has the most current one. The odd thing is that device manager does read it as a ATA drive. Shouldn't it read it as an IDE drive. Could this be the problem?

it should be IDE, chances are just the setting in device manager are wrong, after playing with it it should work, takes time to mess with it.
