Xbox 360 to get more exclusive GTA IV content

Take Two has announced that it will be releasing more exclusive Grand Theft Auto IV episodes for Xbox 360 owners in 2009.
The company has already agreed to supply two extra episodes in 2008 but this marks the first time they have spoken of extra content since that initial deal.

GTA, how different can it be from its predacessors, run & shoot, drive and destroy. Big wow, PS 3 sucks, xbox rules, this game is over hyped.

but they never really said there WASSNT going to be content for the ps3, did they?
and wouldn't it be funny if the episodic content was stuff the ps3 version already has, but they couldn't fit it all on the 360's dvd9? =] just wishful thinking.

2009 really... maybe by then MS can get the rest of the 360's parts down to 65nm and prevent the red rings.
I don't own any next-gen consoles, I want to buy a 360 but only once I feel I don't have to rely on a 3 year warranty and cardboard coffins.
Everyone has their own opinion, even though gta was never known for great graphics, the series is nothing but revolutionary.

Yay for only 1000 "Micor$oft Points" I can do some extra pimp and taxi missions :P
Even if it were for the PS3 I wouldn't waste my money... I think most of the "exclusive content" on the 360 is a waste unless it's an expansion, or new maps... Or just something that is worth the money anyways.

Eposodic dont sound like pimp missions or taxi missions,it do sound like expansions to the story.

I could be wrong but last time I checked the 360 was out selling the PS3, and only the Wii was out selling it, and I havent heard weather GTA 4 will be on Wii, and given Nintendo's history I could see why they wouldnt want to publish it.

Well thats like one of the MAIN reasons 360 Sucks, is the DVD9. I mean in a year or so the games will be in the 10-11GB range normally.And they would have to put it on 2 CD's.

I heard that M$ paid a sum for some exclusive content for GTA4. I dunno if its tru or not but if so can anybody find a link to it? If not then im just hearing bogus things. And yea i think Xbox360 are gonna have a hard time later on in the future trying to make bigger games that wont fit on one DVD9. Sure they can have multiple discs but in the future thatd mean that all Xbox360 games are gonne have multiple discs. That would sound a little inconvenient.

I dont care abotu extra content, but thisis a good way to pad indavendaul console game sales, kinda wish when PC games get done..they'd be finished and patched...but our online content is promises to fix sht already launched >>

Dude that's just soooo not true. Pure FUD.
There are only 1-2 games that COULD use over 8.2G on a disc, and they aren't going to be out for 2 years or so (Elder Scrolls for one). 99% work fine on DVD, and the average game uses less than 4GB of space ANYWAY.
(Why does this particular myth keep popping up? Sony FUD?)

GTA4 Extra content for 360 will not be for the PS3, sorry fanboys.
There were 2 different expansion-like installments available for the 360 sometime in 2008, now with this recent one there will be a third download-able installment. All exclusive to 360. M$ played their cards right on this one, they wanted a better version then the one offered on the PS3. That might have been part of their 50 million deal.

It is easier to put a "whole" game on a BR disc than trim it down to 10-13 GB compressed in a DVD9, for now with the PS3 having poor optimizations the PS3 is no better than the 360 in most respects you might not have to load multi discs but but in the end theres lil diff in the short term.
In the next 2-3 years as games get bigger the 360 will have more issues to overcome and the PS3 will have less.
IMO the PS3 is over priced and under preforming the 360 is still a easy bake oven that eats discs, in the next 8 months the GPU will be replaced with a 65NM unit and in 15-25 months their might be a internal HDVD drive it handled right could give the 360 line a boost of 4 more years.
If I can tag a broken "unopened" PS3 for 200-250 I will they are still under warranty by Sony it will only be 50-100$(shiping/repair) to have it fixed by them or get a 80$ lens for it (sad the fat model PS2 lens are 50$ LOL) still I don't trust the 360 hardware much which is a shame its a nice system..

Exclusive content is only exclusive for the time of the contract, MS could pay them for it till 010 but most likely one will be seeing "like" or the same content on the 360 roll over to the PS3 in 12-22 months, its the nature of the beast.
In the end the PUB wins getting more money which is only bad if the PUB sucks...and 2K is not to sucky....

this isn't anything relatively new, but surely most gamers were probably unaware. back in the day when Peter MORON, i mean MOORE was with microsoft, during a press conference he unveiled a GTA tattoo on his arm and mentioned the 360 was getting exclusive content. actually he may have even gone so far to say the 360 was getting a timed exclusive for GTA IV, but that didn't happen. here is the link, most of this was quite a few months ago.

microsoft paid for it, good for 360 owners but naturally there is a price to pay. apparently no one will see this content till atleast a year later, give'r take. could be less than a year. lets hope its the later, as most gamers i don't believe play a game continuously for a year. games usually die down after the first month or so and become old goods, atleast that is how i am. couldn't even tell you the last time i played resistance. wonder how much this content will cost or if it'll be free???
as far as the game looking "TERRIFIC," i saw the latest trailer and didn't think the graphics were anything to write home about. just my opinion. yes i do plan on buying the game.
FYI, ps3 users will also be on the receiving end of exclusive content.

actually it could very well be within a year that you'll see a game break the boundaries of DVD9 and even 8.2G as you mentioned. MGS4 i think is going to be a fairly large and diverse game. we'll see.

Not denied as such, someone just got confused with the second of the 2 DLC packs that they already have a contract with MS for.

wow I feel like such a n00b, I did not know PS3 games were on BD.
I thought they were on DVD9 as well.
How much of the actual disk space is used?anyone got links to a site site with the stats?

actual diskspace for multiplatform games is minimal. insomniac (exclusive) did say however Resistance FOM was something like 22gigs.

shows they want the best possible game when it comes to a mega-title such as the gta franchise and their paying out the pockets in order try and sell more 360's and more 360 versions of the new gta.I have no problem with it and im sure take-two who has been having financial woes sure appreciated the 50 million for 2 episodes, help grease the wheels on a nice working relationship.jealousy will get u nowhere...a lot of ps3 titles are mere crappy ports of what the 360 gets...gta,madden 08,ncca football 08
