Xbox media player problems

I have xbox 1.0, the newest chameleon, and evox m7 bios with the newest evox dash. I have xbox media player newest version. My problem: When I play pictures using xbox media player, they are squished. The picture is literaly squised into the middle of the screen leaving 60% of the screen unused. I tried to fiddle with all the screen settings in xbmp but to no avail. Any help appreciated. Thx in advance.
