To say that the site is down must be the understatement of the century.
At the moment it is displaying an FBI logo stating that the site has been confiscated.
The thing that is peculiar about it is that it actually is a page from www.l2extreme.com (Look at the title bar)
1) The site could have been confiscated by FBI
2) Nerd has taken the money and trying the easy way out
3) Some hackers are having some fun

OK., OOK....I get it..so what now ?? Anyone with any constructive advice ? Is he posting somewhere else ?? Did anyone actually receive a shipping in voice ? Did they (Wii's) actually go out as the e-mail notification said ?? Just want to know, and I'm sure Many are curious how this turns out.

After searching for info about l2extreme.com, it looks like that it was a story very similar to this one.
l2extreme.com was a private game server with a whole lot of paid subscribers. One day the site just disappeared replaced by the very page you see now on NDS.
Now it looks like that exact page (and I mean the l2extreme page itself) has appeared on the NDS site.
It does not look promising at all.

Some questions.......if he's a scam, why did he refund Cujo's money in the previous banned posting ??? Why update the shipping order and other stautus' ?? He could've/would've changed nothing after fund transfer. I'll look into moneybookers and see what they can do. Anyone else with any info. ? There was atleast 110 orders, i'm only hearing from 3 people here. Worst thing about my situation is i bought extra controllers recently, and an LG drive and nunchucks...There has got to be some recousre, something we can do.

I was personally gonna start the same thread, but since there's one already made, I'll just add my tidbit here.
Luckily, I received an E-mail stating that my Wii had been shipped just one day before the site went down after it was in "waiting for item to be picked up by shipping company" status for 3 days. I also received a tracking URL and a tracking number, but I waited too long to get it, and now the site's down, so I don't know my tracking number! I am doubting this is a scam, but as they promised in their ad's, we are supposed to receive it before Christmas Eve as long as you purchased before the 16th. If I actually do receive it, I will tell you if it's a scam or not.
Now, that link seems to make much sense. I'm speaking of the one where gaming websites were targetted to be hacked and what-not. Plus, it can't be a scam unless the guy is REALLY REALLY retarded. It's so easy to find his information! He's on eBay, iOffice, Myspace, Livejournal! Seriously! If he scammed the mass amount of people of their money like this, then it's bound to cause a customer rukus that will involve the legal system, and we'd end up with our money sooner or later.
Now, it can actually be the FBI though. It is stated that recently the FBI has taken a firm stand against piracy. Not just that, but 10 websites had been closed in which this person previously owned, so it could be possible that he is being tracked and shut down consistantly. Maybe in some ways, he IS a moron, but it really doesn't look like a scam at all.
As for the black friday special, I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that everything they stated and offered is true and for real, and are still in motion, so you'd most likely get your black friday special. I'd suggest contacting him on MySpace and then reposting his reply in this thread you started to help those who are worried confirm what is going on.
To rafadawn... before the FBI logo appeared, the site WAS actually just down. There was an error disabling privileges of viewing the site without the notice. The notice came 12 hours later. This shows that it might actually be an FBI job rather than hackers.
Just to verify, there hasn't been a bad thing said about NDS, and everyone who's ever stated something about this site has always stated good things. As far as I know, there was never an issue, and everyone got their Wii's. It was also a highly reccomendable website that people willingly shared happily. I've never heard anything bad about them.
I've also heard of stories of them actually refunding money back, so they are definitely willing to give away the money back to the respectable payer, so with the massive amount of money they're making over at that site, I highly doubt they'd need to steal, and they have proven their good side.
I will say this(at least unstil I receive my order)... trust in them for now, and if I receive my order, I will notify this thread ASAP to see if they truly did steal or not.

I have tried the link to nds forum, but they seem to be the only people i've ever dealt with that won't let me log on....i've verifed my e-mail address twice and keep trying the same password. Anyway, what is the verdict from there ? What does the NDS forum say ?

Unfortunately, the l2extreme takedown was a real FBI job. If you go on fbi.gov and type l2extreme you will see the official FBI press release about that.
The NDS FBI screen look really really fake ... for the simple reason that it even says l2extreme on top. I guess the Nerd just copied the FBI notice from the other page, but forgot to change the page title.
Lol!!

I *knew* this was fishy and *knew* this was going to happen from the start. The guy was selling the systems for *WAAAAAY* too cheap and he had way too much stock. Think about it guys, for someone who seems to be running the operation out of his own house, how on earth can he have that many wiis, which are sold out all the time? How can he afford to give out a 50$+tax game on top? And all those accessories? What about the people who ordered early november and got nothing? In fact, did ANYONE from afterdawn get anything? Or was it all people from long ago? For those who ordered it "sooo long ago" and gave feedback, the domain was only registered May 15, 2007. He was so busy counting his money he forgot to take ilextreme out of his "FBI Seized" website title and change it to NDS. I take it he is no longer answering e-mails either (did he ever answer e-mails actually? or did he always say, my staff is too busy PM Me here)? Did the FBI seize his e-mail addresses too?
I know it's wishful thinking but sorry guys, all signs point the same way.
All his good feedback? Probably the same "employees" that were too swamped to check e-mails.
Cujo getting his money back? Yes he did get it back, but NDS just kept dodging the issue of what happened to his tracking #. Made SEVERAL slapdash excuses to get around it, and in the end gave back his money to keep his scam going. And ofcourse, your guys eyes were too glazed over with the glow of nintendo wii to see what was going on.
This at least teaches everyone a lesson, and to the mods of afterdawn, I personally am ashamed in you, you're usually so quick to shut down the threads which are borderline breaking rules in harmless ways, and yet you let this guy come on afterdawn and scam so many people before you shut it down? Isn't the rule of not advertising on here EXACTLY meant to protect the users from this kind of thing? All signs of this pointed to scam, although he did hide it quite well.

I think the true winner in this matter is Google Checkout who shut down this guy right away and refunded any payment mede to the Nerd.
As for you, if, as you say you knew from the very beginning, where the heck were you? Why didn't you post an alert at the time? But, even more to the point, what are you trying to say?
The mods moderate the Forum and its posts, they do not moderate people's life or decisions. They could have intervened earlier, but all the buyers could have taken safeguards against this fraud.
For instance, I am pretty sure that all the people who paid with a credit card will get the money back, for the simple fact that there will be no sign of any shipment of the merchandise. So in the end this will not be a big deal.
However, next time try to help your fellow AD'ers since you seem to have the gift of wisdom and knowledge.

LoL I was going to, but you wouldn't have had ANY of it. Cujo was trying so hard to do something for you all, and prove him innocent, but NDS kept dipping and dodging his requests, and finally sent him his money back.
All the while, he was taking so much heat from all the users, and he wasn't even claiming it was a scam! Now imagine if someone came outright and said it was a scam. People hear what they want to hear you should know that.
As for the moderation, yes they do a great job when it comes to the little things that are repeated all over the place (closing "WHERE DO I GET GAMES" threads, or thread highjacking) and yes they did finally close the thread down, I'm just sayin, I'm surprised it took them as long as it did, and this whole situation could have been avoided.
I would hate to see AD Forums be held liable for this or be involved in any of the aftermath of this in any way shape or form.

This is not a big deal. For those who bought from the Nerd it will go like this:
1) Call CC, stop payment and dispute charges.
2) Fill docs stating that merchandise has not been received from seller
3) CC will ask seller to provid info about shipment and delivery of merchandise
4) The NERD is done! Money is refunded.
5) Only problem: a lot of adults and children without their wii for the moment.

Really? I didn't see one report about an offensive post...and with a total of over 800,000 posts in the console section alone how do you expect us to catch absolutely EVERYTHING!? You said it yourself he hid it quite well and rafadawn hit it right on the head when he said
Quote: "The mods moderate the Forum and its posts, they do not moderate people's life or decisions."
We are not responsible for people actions on aD nor hold their hands when they decide to make ANY purchases made ILLEGALLY here (especially since the "seller" is not an authorized advertiser or verified company). You act is if you where "all in the know" but you did absolutely nothing to help anyone except to come in this thread and insult our members and us the moderators. You should be ashamed but not for the reasons you "explained" here...

I don't blame the mods for our own stupidity. When Cujo was posting I was thinking "man, this makes sense, this Anerd guy is full of it." BUT...I didn't say anything because I was still hopeful and, since I paid by CC, I was confident I would get my money back anyways and didn't want to mess-up my order. I could not BELIEVE that, after 8 pages of problems and nobody had a Wii, peopl were jumping all over Cujo and placing their own orders based on *nothing*.
