Hey everyone,'member me? Lol, my computer was stolen and so was my psp. Unfortunately,, it took me a while to get the 4169 for my alienware laptop and psp but I'm back, and Im looking for someone knowledgeable to fill me in on the latest( and not so latest) updates...
Hey, MetalGeat. Well I take it you haven't been around since summer due to your profile. Well since then there has been a universal unbricker that can downgrade any firmware to 1.50. It has been upgraded and it can now take you to new custom firmwares.
I can't remember when M33 came out, but it was a team lead by Dark_AleX that made new firmwares.
Sony made a PSP Slim & Light. Capable of being connected to most TVs to be able to play games, music, videos and photos on your tv. Originaly, this psp was set to be unhackable, but pandora's battery had adapted to it and then hacked it to be able to play back ups. Homebrew capabilites aren't great (most don't work), so new homebrew is being made for PSP slim as well as the fat.
Well alot of new homebrew apps released, none that blew me away anyways. In case you're wondering: The newest firmware for PSP from sony is 3.80 and the lastest custom firmware is 3.73 HX-1. (However, DAX has confirmed he is working on 3.80 M33 with his team... after 3.40, DAX was said to be quiting due to threats from Sony so he went undercover as M33 so now his firmwares are called M33 instead of OE)

Don't hesitate to ask any more questions lol :)
First off, thanks man, I'm definitely adding you. Secondly the psp slim and light are tow different psp's? Abd when I left it was during the 3.40 lumines downgrade and the mysterious "jigkick" battery capable of un bricking a psp. There was also a m33 fw, but I dont remember which. This info was very helpful, and you guys can expect mem to be back soon.
Good to hear you're coming back. And yeah the PSP Slim is different. Not by much though, the games are still the same and all that. The jigkick was developed by sony, but Team C+D Was able to figure out how it works, so they released it and now everyone can unbrick for free (Yay :P).
