I then burned the 1.3 bootdisk PAL iso and this also did not load (same error message(. The chip was fitted by an experienced techician and recheck today all the points check out ok on a voltmeter.

Did i need to install the 1.9g firmware fist or what. I am a little confused as to what is the correct procedure after install is. Should the chip have worked even using 3.1E (for originals at least)? Can someone explain t me simply what steps are needed after install.

All in all it could be a dud chip but my friends also did not work.

Let em know what i need to do.
PS i have read the rafdawn tut ut this does not full explain what to do if you at f/w 3.1E already.
