I'm completely new to ir shell, and I grabbed the full version of 3.81 & the bug update for it, & the pops update.

I'm running 3.71 M33_4 firmware

First, can ir shell work on this firmware?

And if so, please, could someone help me on understanding how to install this?

I read the pdf file that came with it, and I tried doing the strip down, and putting all those folders on the ROOT of my memory stick. But it doesnt tell you to put in the PSP folder, or plugins? It's a very confusing .pdf file

I tried putting in the GAME150 and GAME folders of the ir shell, and neither worked. just got a black screen after the PSP logo.

I'm really interested in using this, so any help would be extremely appreciated.

ok well yes you can run this IR shell on 3.71M33-4.

the pdf tut is easy,just follow and understand carefully.

copy the Ir shell,psp n seplugins folder to your memory stick root.n then go to recovery,go to plugins and enable the irsautoboot.prx.

then it will autoboot when you exit the recovery.go to directory view/IRSHELL/PATCH/3.71/btcnfpatch n there you go.
