as i told u in the another thread that buy the ff8 game of ps1 from the games shop where u live. ff8 is around for discs so u must have the 4 discs. when u buy i will really help u and tell u further or u can download ff8 in eboot forms from www.isohunt.com all u have to do is download them and put them in folder if they are already in folder just put them in psp game folder and play them. download the first disc eboot from isohunt and play it when u finish then download the second disc in eboot form directly from isohunt when u finish and like this download the third and fourth. if u have download limits then when u buy the game just post here or message me on yahoo messenger my id is email removed

afterdrawn im new here in the forum, but i already have all ff8 eboot.pbp files. My problem is that when I finish the first disc, I can't go to the second disc because both discs are named EBOOT.PBP and will just overwrite it. When I tried the second disc, it played but there was no saved game. Please help me and thank you in advance..^^

you should have posted this in your own thread...but wen you want to play the second disc u replace the first disc...or put it in a new folder called "ff8 disc 2" and it needs the same SLUS code as the first disc and then ur saved games will appear

hey im not sure if this would help, but I had the same problem before. You may be forgetting the KEYS.BIN file. This file should be with the EBOOT.PBP file to play the game. Try it I hope it will be fixed as it fixed mine.

P.S. Still cant find a way to play the second disc of FFVIII having the saved data

nah you dont need all 4 discs on ur memory card. i have final fantasy 7 working fine and i just have the first disc on at the moment. also the keys.bin file isnt too important either. for example ive also got resident evil 1, 2 and 3 working on my psp all without the keys.bin file.

but anyway aftrdrawn. thanks for trying to find out for me i know most final fantasy games below ff10 are very hard to get hold of in stores and are expensive aswell. but i decided to go with ur original idea of downloading the eboots from a torrent site. even tho it takes such a long time to download them ive managed to get ff8 and ff9 disc 1 at the moment. and both work perfectly so the problem i was having must have just been with my copies of the games. (tho both run fine on my ps3) so anyway my problem is solved as long as i can get hold of the eboots for the other discs. thanks again.

also leon. with your problem of moving onto the second disc. either replace your first disc eboot file with the second. or create a new folder next to it called "ff8 disc 2" and place the eboot in there. shouldnt be a problem starting the game then. and to get your saved games working you need to set the second discs SLUS code to the same as the first disc. then it should find your saved game.
if you use the program psx2psp to create your eboot files it should automatically give them the same code.

easiest thing to do is re-create the eboots for all discs. make sure they all have the same code wen you create them...use psx2psp to do it.

lol are you attempting to do any of this urself before askin? get psx2psp...you can find if using google. then read the readme file for instructions on how to use it...if you dnt understand the readme file it doesnt matter the program is small and pretty much self-explanatory. its very difficult to go wrong...you will see the SLU code somewhere there so just make sure all discs are the same...depending on what version of the game you have the code might be a SLES code.

I will tell u in details how to make eboot of psx game. follow my guide.
first download autopopstation software from here. http://dl.qj.net/AutoPopstation4-PSP-Too...12400/catid/193
now extract it if it is in rar form or unzip it if it is zip form.
now u will get a folder called autopopstation4. open it and there u will get another folder called CORE DATA. open the ISO producer inside the core data. and then click on configure plugin. set Interface to W2K/XP - IOCTL scsi commands. and DRIVE where the disc in inserted. change READ MODE to BE_2 (ATAPI SPEC 2). leave MISC ERROR HANDLING and PPF patches as they are. make SUBCHANNEL READING to READ SUBCHANNELS.......etc. now click ok and then MAKE ISO. it will take some time to make the iso of the game. name the game for example tekken3 and ok. after some time when iso is created. cut the iso and place it in the autopopstation4 folder.
Now run Autopopstation.exe inside the autopopstation folder.
the command prompt will be opened first u will be asked to write the ISO FULL NAME. give the name of the iso u created like tekken3 and then dot(.)and write iso. ex. tekken3.iso and then press enter.then u will be asked to write the GAME NAME. write tekken 3 then enter. now NAME FRAGMENT. write again tekken 3 and press enter.
the SLUS CODE will be listed infront of u take the compatible code of the game. if the game is ntsc and US game note the code [NTSC-U]. if the game is pal then [PAL-E]. note the slus code and enter "Y" means yes. press enter. now write the game code for ur game and press enter.for compression u can do it upto 9 level. select ur compression level and enter. u can press G to make ur images with psp docmaker GUI or press D to make document.dat tutorial for ur game. i recommend "D" will be easy. press enter. then enter "Y" and enter.
now wait for sometime for the eboot to be created. after it finishs u will get ur game in the result folder placed inside the autopopstation4 folder. copy the game folder to ur PSP/GAME and start from the psp game menu.
enjoy!!!

ok, seems like ur haveing trouble, the PAL, UK version of ff8 will not work due to what seems like some copy protect, i picked up on this since the files on the disc are hidden, it gave it away, now i hav a site were u can download them from, and no its not a torrent or anythign like that, u download it from megaupload, i dont no how long it will take due to ur internet connection but for me it takes like 4-5 hours to download one disc on 20kbps download

http://www.pspiso.com/showthread.php?t=1...inal+Fantasy+IX

it wont let u into the page unless if u sign up and sign in, from there it gives u the links, hope this helps
