Yah its very simple. If you know how to do the memory card exploit, then you can do this. When your in independence compiler take the hldffp or whatever the file is called, right click on it, and go to the part that says "extrac to". extract it to your desktop and then since your in the independence program, go to files or whatever its called, and go to browse for files, click on desktop, and look for hlfpp.elf . MAKE SURE IT SAYS .ELF OR IT WONT WORK. I made the mistake of having it on .rar and it wouldnt work. Create the exploit for memory card. Go to iscenteral in your computer in your first hard drive, cut and paste(not copy and paste) the exploit to your desktop. go to ps2 save builder and go to open, open your iscenteral file from your desktop and i you see hdlffp or whatever the file is called, you have most of this thing done along with all the other .elf files im sure youll be putting on your system. Save your file to the desktop and when it gets saved, change the file name to Your SystemConfiguration. Use a gameshark, A R Max, codebreaker, pelican, or whatever you can to copy the data from a usb thumb drive or external hard drive to your memory card. Shutdown your system and restart it. hit the eject button and insert your trigger disk in and let it go through its cycle. Go to the Config menu and set one of your buttons for the hdlfpp elf exploit. After it gets set, return to the exploit menu and hit the button you set it as. It will ask you if you want to formatt your hard drive for use with hdl, say yes and give it a bit to format the hdd. After it gets formatted, your all done. Yo will have to use the memory card exploit each time you want to install, remove, or play a game off your hard drive but the load times are hella faster.
i hav just sent my ps2 V7 to get chipped modbo 3. it contains matrix infinity software and i hav seen the tutorial to create dev 1 using ule412 the thing now i cant understand is that now how to install hdl plus other homebrew softwares thru dev1. i hav a weak laser only reading cds and no dvds or psx discs. Given that i hav installed ule4.12(as in tutorial) now what shud i do: should i
-burn all the apps including hdl 8.b in cdr (seperate or together), then copy it from there to MC, is that possible?
-create independence exploit as used with the psx trigger disc to transfer hdl and other softwares to mc, is that possible?(note again my ps2 does not reads psx discs, using this only for the purpose of booting thru dev 1)

Ok but lets say that I got my ps2 modided and in just need a replacement disk, little sister gave it to the dog, do I need to buy a new one or can i find the program some where eles
