Guys bear with me a total novice at this.I am trying to convert a DVDrip AC3 Eng file I have downloaded using a VSO convert X to DVD the latest version.

When i open the files in the converter all I get is one file at least is corrupt see log. When I check the log it only informs me there is a warning.

Any advice welcome.

Assuming this is not a zipped file or the like.
Drag the file onto the window and check to see what kind of file it is.
This example is an 'XviD' video file with AC3 audio.

Thanks for the reply, sorry about the delay in replying. I downloaded G Spot and the file type is dvsd and it would appear the codec for this file is not installed. How do I ascertain which codec I require and where to download it?

Thanks in anticipation.

See if MediaInfo gives more information;drag the file onto the window.

This might be the required codec (DVSD).

Thanks for the info, the codec you supplied was the correct one and I have dowloaded the sites for future reference should I require it.

Thank you.

Hi,

ConvertXtoDVD requires 0 codecs to be installed.

You may not be able to play the source file (No Codecs) but ConvertXtoDVD will still be able to convert it.

What version did you use ?

Download the latest v2.2.3.258g or h from the VSO Website.

v3.00 is due to come out pretty soon!

Try DVDFlick.. if VSO isn't working for you.
It's 100% free, almost exactly the same features and layout as ConvertXtoDVD, except it allows you to set your bitrate manually allowing to cram more quality into your DVDs.

In my experience it gives superior results compared to VSO.
Try it out:
