Hi, done quite a few of these installs now, this one unfortunately is giving me a problem, D2B wii with a wiikey and a wiikit, installed wiikey first then wiikit thinking maybe the wiikey was faulty but with either installed the wii just wont read any disk except original, so i checked both chips in my own wii and both read disks ok in mine, multimetered the soldered connections over and over and over again, resoldered, re multi'd, tried different disks.
This one is biting my arse lol i hate anything getting one over on me, i cant provide pics as my cam is complete crap, all i can say is ive multimetered this wii to death lol continuity is good, no bridging whatsoever and the chips work on another wii, anyone have any ideas ?
ps i dremelled the chip only slightly at first as i wanted to rebuild the legs (for the first time normally i just dremel it) its the d2b with 3 legs missing. and as i said ive multimetered everything and checked 100% for bridges.
yes m8 tried 3 chips all in all, my wiikey the wiikey i bought to do it and the wiikit i have hanging around all the same result, very strange i know, im stumped lol. Thought at first i mustve wired something wrong but checked and checked (around 20 times to be honest) even tried with a single strand of copper on each of the 3 dremelled legs just to be sure that the kynar wasnt too big or off centre and bridging.
