listen they call this screen which comes before the xmb blue screen of death which means ur firmware has not been correctly installed. downgrade ur psp with pandora to 1.50 and then upgrade it with a good battery not fake one and pro duo memory stick. then see if this problem arises or not. cause once i played with my flash0 and 1 and i was having the same problem but when i completely downgraded my psp and upgraded it to 2.71 which was the latest firmware at that time. i wasnt having the problem again. so try as i said.

I have used my tool battery and memory card to modify 2 psp's straight to 3.71m33-2 and they have no problems. it just seems to be my psp which has the problem I have used the tool and memory card more than once on my psp to try and fix the problem but it will not work. so if I go down to 1.5 then up to 3.71m33-4 will it fix my problem

I have another psp which is a ta079 which is running 3.71m33-4 which I did a nand backup of. so could I use that backup on my psp which is also a ta079 to fix my problem or will it brick my psp.

If you overflay a nand dump of a PSP onto completely different PSP, the likely outcome will be worse than a brick more like Death. Do not do it is my advice.

PsP#1 : 2.01>3.71M33-4>3.80 M33-5
PsP#2 (Slim) : 3.80>3.90M33-2 All hail the UPMS Stck
If you need a UPMS Stick go here and then go here :-) *As recommended by January39

I have an idea what if I were to reinstall the xmb itself or is it part of the firmware? if it is separate where can I get it from

run chilly willy's keycleaner and let it fix any corrupted keys.

also, if you made the memory stick on a psp that has a custom theme, then that can be the problem also. custom themes will mess up the magic memory stick process.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

will it have anything to do with it being a ta81 motherboard and a v1 wifi/memory board when it should be a v2 board.
