say i went on a torrent site and i downloaded and burnt a game from Japan, using Power ISO. would swap magic (for v14) be able to play this game? or would i need to get something else? im new at this and it would help me alot.
First of all, torrent sites are illegal unless you own the original copy of the game, and yes, if you burnt it correctly, and had the Slide Card, Flip Top, or MagicKeys, it would work. SwapMagic fails to work without anything like the Slide Card, MagicKeys, or the Flip Top. Since your PS2 is v.14, I recall it being a Slim, so you need to get the MagicKeys 2. The Flip Top is garbage for the slim consoles. If you JUST have the SwapMagic, it won't work because when you open the lid, the laser will detect its open and it will fail. The MagicKeys 2 blocks the laser detection, which means it makes the PS2 think that the lid's always closed. If you live in Canada, you can buy the bundle of the SwapMagic 3.8 plus the MagicKeys 2 for only $40.50, using Cash on Delivery, which means you pay the mailman, so you don't need to worry about it not coming.
