Best P2P for dial-up? - edonkey, emule, etc.?

What's the best P2P for us dial-up users? I know the answer will be to get DSL or cable ;-), but until then, which is best?

So far I get about 5 kb on WinMX, anywhere from 5 to 11 kb on KaZaalite do to its large selection of users.

edonkey and Overnet are painfully slow. I manage anywhere between 0.5 kb and 2.9 kb, when I have download set to 3 and upload to 1. What's not fair about the donkey is that uploaders usually can pull faster than I can from them. But they have the largest selection of files.

Is there anyway to set Overnet to a higher download speed for dial-up users? Is emule any faster?

How does IRC compare for dial-up? Haven't tried that route yet.
