BCCode Error

Friend is having computer issues, and he's asking me for help. The PC keeps on recovering from serious errors. This is what he has said to me:

From time to time, I start up my comp then after my toolbar loads up, it restarts sometimes twice or more on its own. Once it's done doing its thing the comp says I have recovered from a serious error
The error message he keeps on getting is this BCCode error:

BCCode: f4 BCP1:00000003 BCP2:863F2540 BCP3:863F26B4 BCP4: 805FA160 OSVer: 5_1_2600 Product: 768_1

(From what I know a BCCode erros is when Windows freezes. That's where my knowledge ends). He isn't sure what Win. XP OS he is running, so I am going to assume that it is Win. XP Home.

Is anyone able to tell me what the problem is, and how it can be resolved?
