gameshark version 2 for ps2 code problems

i have a gameshark version 2 for the ps2. i've tried to add new codes and i can't seem to them to work. i'm kinda new to using the gameshark. i've added and tried more codes than i can even begin to count now. i don't know if i'm using wrong codes or just adding the codes incorrectly. i start by adding the "(M)" code and then adding different codes. in this case i'm adding codes for kingdom hearts 2. is there a specific way that i'm suppose to lable these codes like the master code or what? any information on how i'm suppose to add these codes and get them to work would be greatly apprreciated.
