Using DMS4 lite, hdloader, and toxic os

I have a PS2 Version 7 with a DMS4 lite. I know that I can not install the Toxic OS to the actual chip itself , but is there a way to install it to the hard drive I have connected. HDloader works with no problems and I am actually quite happy with it as I have not had a single boot failure, but I was just curious if I could boot directly from Toxic OS stored on HD. Just a thought. Thank you ladies/gentlemen in advance. I used the search engine to no avail.

im not sure if you can boot games from toxix OS that were put onto the hard drive using hdloader. When installing games onto the hard drive from the computer using winhiip in the options you have to click if your using hdloader or toxic OS so I think it might install the games differently. i cant really check this though so if some1 could confirm this that would be great

Yeah, good point. I would be willing to reload all the games back on the HDD in the toxic OS mode if needed. HDloader is actually nice software, I would just prefer not to have to keep the disc around to load it.
