Go into your routers settings and turn upnp on. This will make sure that all of your port forwarding is correct.

if you want to play online games you just made a mistake by buying a PS3, I have only been able to login twice in the last 4 weeks. They must have some big problems with their servers, but unfortunately they aren't telling us much as some people around the world are not having the same problems, everyone i know in Dubai are having the same issues. Don't change your router settings as it won't make any difference

So what should he have brought instead a toy?, Ps3 is great online confiqure your router settings and it should work, and dont bother saying 360 i have one but im not paying for live just to get achivements. Well my friend who goes to dubai every 3 months to see his mum has a ps3 there and it works as i play him so maybe your friends have bad routers. You and your friends are just unlucky, sorry mate.

360's are inferior and the PS is actually classed as a toy, your friend doesn't live here so he wouldn't really know, maybe his mum can tell us. I did manage to login last week around 1am so i suppose i should be thankful.
Does anybody else out there have any suggestions why middle east users cannot access the playstation network?

He goes there all the time and plays me online with no problems, PS is a toy..okay..
Tell me what your router is and your internet connection speed. As i know more than just my friend who log in the the middle east, as there are many middle easterns in my Resistance clan. Tell us what you use then we can probably help.

If you could find out what router your friend is using that would be great, I play rainbow six with a friend of mine quite often (we used to) and I use a speedstream Siemens 6500 which is the standard router Etisalat (phone company) install for you on a 500k connection, my friend uses a netgear router on a 1mb connection and we now cannot play RB6. I have other friends who are using linksys routers and are having the same problem, the error we most often get is 80710092, we have tried open dns addresses, no security etc if you have any suggestions that would be helpful, this has only started since Ver2 upgrade and by the looks of other forums around the world other people ar having the same problem. thanks Ziggi
