PSX Game Final Fantasy Anthology Help

I ripped my Final Fantasy Anthology game to my PSP. I have been playing FF6 and the game plays just fine, however whenever I try to load a save game it always says "Failed to load". I have saved the game in several different places and in different slots, however nothing works. Can anyone help me to determine why I cant laod any save games on FF6?
