Big problem. I'm good normally with those kind of things, I always convert my movies and, back then, I used to re-sync my avi files when some bad copies popped online. Anyway, the problem is that I'm trying to convert my avi movie (xvid) into a 480x272 format for my player. (samsung p2). The problem is that, when I use the samsung program to convert ino SVI (the player also play MPEG4 and WMV), the speed is doubled... I mean, instead of 2h07m, it takes 1h03m, and the sound is fast like crazy (like little mouses). Even when I change the fps or kbps nothing change, it's always 1h03m.
I tryed to convert it into the right size and everything, using winavi and other programs, but after it's converted, my movie is "not supported" (says the player), even if it's in WMV.
Do you know what's the problem, since I never saw someone who had this problem online (with the samsung program at least). Or would you give me the name of a good program that would be able to convert it (free program please, without watermarks,lol).
Samsung P2 is a fantastic player but SMS prog is crap.
No offense to ADawn but you want to check out anythingbutipod.com. Great info on P2 - video, firmware upgrades, hacking to UMS instead of MTP - and other mp3 players.
I use Badak to covert video using the P2 Preset then u just change the extension to svi and it works perfectly. No issues with playback. It's also free.
@unolord: I tryed anythingbutipod and it's a great site for help about my p2 conversion problem, thanks. The only thing I found weird is that the website host a lot of ipod ads, lol.
