to make a backup for 5 days now. I have read ALL of the Newbie files, and every other thing I could find for that matter. I am using Wxripper, wx360 and clonecd. I am hot swapping on a pioneer 112 drive. Xbox is flashed with Garyopa 2.3. I have played some backups on it, so I know it works. I am successfully getting the image from wxripper with no errors. I use wx360 to convert it to xdvdfs. I merge the ssbin and the game.iso using build360.bat. No errors whatsoever. I finally burn the image.DVD file and it finishes OK. I am trying to play backup in my 360, and all it will say is dirty disc. I am confident I am following all of the proper procedures. I even tried a different dvd-rom drive with the same results. I tried backing up MotoGP2k7 and All pro football 2k8. Each disc is lightly scratched but will still play fine. I have literally burned 12 coasters in 5 days. I am using Verbatim +r DL. I tried to use Imgburn also, and got no errors, and the 360 still told me dirty disc.Below are the procedures I am following.

WXRipper

1. Put in 7.5GB DVD or bigger in your DVD-ROM or DVD-RW. (I used 24 2nd season disc 2)
2. Open WXRipper.
3. Choose the proper drive in WXRipper that contains your movie.
4. Click on Find Magic Number.
5. Click on Stop Drive.
6. Change out the DVD for your X-Box 360 Game you want to copy. (Hotswap)
7. Click on Spin Drive.
8. Click on File, Then choose Open Layout.
9. Choose the 1.ltf file
10. Click on Dump
11. Name your file and wait on it to complete. (You can name it what you want)

WX360
1. Open WX360
2. Choose File, Open, and then choose the ISO image you made using WXRipper.
3. Choose File, Export XDVDFS, name it game.iso and click save. Wait on this to finish, it will take a little bit of time.

SSBIN
1. Get your SSBIN file
2. Rename the file to just SS.BIN.
3. Put the SS.Bin file and the Game.ISO you ripped in the Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth_Rev2\X-LG\isobuilder\Xbox 360 folder.
4. Click on the Build360 batch file in the above directory.
5. Once this is done, the DOS screen will disappear and you are ready to burn the file with CloneCD. This will take a little bit of time also

Burning with CloneCD and IMGBurn have dirty disc error in console.

a little expensive to get the kreons now
but i have had two coasters with this and i have burnt quite a few games. Think u have probably lost more money doing it this way then just getting the drive, my advice is to cut your losses now. Its so much easier and quicker anyway

I hated to do it, but I bit the bullet and bought one. I guess I can back up all of my games with this, no SSbin patching.

pretty much as easy as running an application, selecting a few settings and its done within 15 minutes. Installation doesnt take too long. Honestly i think its for the best. Saving yourself time and money in the long run
