i have been reading these posts and i have been trying all sorts of things.. i downloaded the walk through 14749_TOTALNewbieasyInstallerPandorasmenu.rar i formated my memory card (i checked it to make sure it was working fine) then i installed the walk through. The folders are there, but when i try to access them they give me the unable to read error.
I also cannot enter recovery mode. I turn off my PSP and turn it back on and it just goes to the main menu. Yes i turned it all the way off.
I got this PSP for xmas so i know that it is a newer one. Could that make any difference?
The files show up on the card they just don't run.
The game files in the ISO folder say that they are corrupt.
I am continuing to try different things but if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

yes it makes, in order to make a memory stick or downgrade your psp you need to have a Pandora battery and the only way to make a pandora battery is 2 things, either a PSP with already a CFW inside or a HARD MOdded battery
So if you think its just upgrading your PSP or just adding something, sorry for the dissapointment, and good luck!
PSP (+[__]%): 2.80 < 1.50 > 3.40OE-A > 3.71M33-4 > 3.80m33-5 > 3.90m33-3 > 4.01m33-2 + 8gb MSPD
PS3 HD 60GB: 1.33 > 1.90 > 2.01 > 2.17 - NO OS
Nintendo DS [+[__]%]: EZ Flash 5 Plus + 1GB MicroSD + EZFlash 3in1
Nintendo Wii: 3.2U + 1GB SD Card + WiiKey 1.9s

drakex,
thanks for the reply.. so you are saying that i should buy another battery then change it to HARD MOdded battery .
I understand what i need to do i just get lost in the wording. i guess it's like anything do it once and you will never forget. it is just doing it that one time that can be so very frustrating.
I appreciate your time!

You should give more specific info about your PSP.
Is it FAT or SLIM?
What is it's FW/version?
:)

newer one?????? firmware or psp? brand new?? is it a slim or phat, if its a slim you cant create pandora cause the slim batterys are patched so dont even bother because your battery will become unusuable, if its a phat, what size of mem stick? and what firmware are you on

I have another one for you guys.
Can you only enter recovery mode with the modded battery?
I have tried to get behind the platform on PSP and i can't it only allows me to stay on the surface.. Can you only do this after you have switched out the battery?
Thanks Gang!

Pretty much the HARD modded battery will allow it to TURN on your PSP directly in other words it will HARD BOOT it up to the memory slot, when you put the magic stick you will see it starts blinking and it will show you a message, thats your CFW Creator message, you press X and puff it starts working.
Then when it says Press X to shut down you take the battery out and add your own regular battery... thats it you will turn on the PSP to the CFW, Pandora is only used for downgrading PSP Slims and Fats on any firmware and used as well for Recovering bricked PSPs... so, it will not serve you anymore after you use it, just pass it to the next guy you know so he continues with the legacy of PSPs!
