Nothing happened, thats the thing
last night I was playing wii sports
I took out the disc, turned it off, played some PS3
talked on the phone, went to bed
this morning I tried to play a backup of Zelda for Wii
and it wouldnt take the disc, or any discs for that matter

I had the same problem on my first wii. But it was because I messed up, when I open up my wii(I was trying to install my wiikey). I called Nintendo told them about how it wouldnt load my games(I didnt tell them about what I was trying to do of course) :) They said I had to send it in for repair. I didnt sent it, I just end up buy a modded wii. So I dont know what to tell you. But it is something to do with the console.

After it after it happen to me, I brought a modded wii. I still kept my first one. I am sure there are other places you can send it to. I might do that one day. I have a new modded wii, so I dont care if I lose my broken one. And who knows I might get two modded wiis. :)

Open up the Wii and check the cables going to Dvd drive. It might be as simple as a cable that came loose. Or your drive died. Either way its worth taking a look.
