Paranoid question: should I use Brick Blocker if I don't have to?

Erm... I've done lots of reading and am now a small expert for avoiding bricking Wii's.

But... I thought I'd ask anyway:

I have a PAL Wii.
If I get a PAL backup... then I am OK.
But... would it still be recommended to use Brick Blocker?
I can't see any harm: apart from the game might not work in minor cases?

I know I'm a bit paranoid asking this question!

Any confirmations/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

ALSO: I haven't run the Brick Block to patch an ISO: how long does it take?
(I haven't had the need to do so far... as I've only tested one game.)

ALSO ALSO: where does one get links for backup games.
I don't want to go to the bother of backing up all of the games I've got.
I'd rather now download.
(Erm: yes... I'm aware of the legalities of having a backup even if you have the original!)
(OK... OK... so this is a slightly naughty question! So please answer before any of the mods see this last bit!!)

One great place I found was wiiso.com - but as of right now (and the last 2 hours at least) the whole site seems to have disappeared.

i'm guilty as indicated above.

i haven't really use these forums before...
but from what i've seen they're full of priceless info and help (not just on wii's).
so i definitely wont want to get banned.
