Hi Everyone,
Alot of useful information here, it has really helped me a great deal. I couldn't find a specific thread so I decided to start one to help me and others with titles/games to avoid the full/semi bricking scenario.
(If there is a similar post then please reference it here)
Your time and expertise is much appreciated, many thanks in advance.
I'm not too clued up as some people, but from what I've read, heres a start to the list of titles/games that have firmware updates.
Please include all region games and firmware version (if you know it).
- I have been informed all Mario games should be avoided.
- Pokemon Battle Revolution.
- Big Brain Academy.
- Guitar Hero 3 - Legends of Rock.

There is already a Sticky that deals with past and current Firmware Problems and related issues: LINK
I would reccommend that we post there any new firmware alert as they happen.
Where's the party?!?

funny (knock on wood)
I have a ntsc wii (from day one release) fitted with a wiikey (1.9g) and have not had one problem with any back ups on it, I do have lots too 50+, and the one thing i have done was stick to my region (ntsc).
no bricking, no simi bricking.. do double channels.. could that be my secret? just sticking to my region?

its not a secret, that is the only way to be 100% safe so far
however since we in uk have to wait maybe months for games to be released, we are forced to try and play out of region imports so as not to get left behind.
We takes the chance - as long as fully updated, no brick is gonna happen

I have a japanese wii that is semi-bricked by the firmware from USA Super Mario Galaxy. Does anyone know of a Japanese game release that has a NEWER firmware version than USA-SMG? Or does anyone know of a list of games-firmware for all recent WII games?

Ok yes i did read that and it does answer my question kindof...it seems that WiiFit will solve my issues I guess...but it still seems like a wiki with a list of games, release dates, regions, and firmware would be nice.
anyway sorry for being a moron...

Is your wii chipped and does it have the latest firmware? I have a Japanese wii fitted with a wiikey and was planning to play a USA Super Mario Galaxy.

Just out of curiosity, for some of the Full/Semi Wii bricking incidents that people have posted on AD. Have these occurred by running games without patching the iso, which may suggest that the WiiBrickBlocker utility is only partially reliable?

how would running games without patching the ISO suggest that Wiibrickblocker is not reliable?!?!?
Wrong wording,... but correct result. Wiibrickblocker is not 100% reliable.
