I have been able to successfully mod hitachi and samsung dvd drives with this hardware.
- Laptop-vista based
- Sata to USB connection adapter
- xbox opening kit

Will this be possible for flashing the Benq drive? It seems that Benq requires a specific procedure with no flexibility on equipment.
And can it be done without using a desktop pc?

I understand this may not be a straight forward Q&A type question, just wondering if any of the more advanced modders think this could be done...

Don't steal... The government hates competition.
