Hello,

I'm trying to decide which route is possible for modding my 360.
Before I go into too many details, here is the what I've got so far:

-Limited Edition HALO 3 Xbox 360 (Purchased from the first wave in SEP)
-Hitachi-LG GDR 3120L
-FW Unknown, but after research I'm pretty sure it's 79FL

After looking into this for awhile, I've come to understand that I can't
flash the drive as easily as with earlier Hitachi models. So, what I need
to know is what ways can I go about this? I've read budros' Tutorial,
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/545204, and that answered a few
questions, but I still have others... After looking into a few different
things, I came across a few items that perked my curiosity:

-The Xecuter Blaster 360
-NME v2
-Maximum 79 Passkey

From what I understand, the Blaster 360 boasts that you no longer have to open
your 360 to flash the drive. That sounds great, but does it work for my drive?
Would it be a redundant thing to have if I have to open the console to begin with?
And, because this was released last year, it leads me to believe that this device
is incompatible with what I am looking for...

The NMEv2 seems to be a good route, but I can do almost all of the same things
with a flashed drive, if I'm correct... And, I've soldered things before, but this
one looks a bit tougher than what I've done.

The passkey is what I'd need in order to put the drive into the position to be flashed.
I'd also need an eSATA PCMCIA Card because I have a laptop. And I believe that I'd
need iXtreme fw tool as opposed to just the xtreme fw tool. As for the version,
I'm guessing that using the latest version as opposed to v1.2 (as outlined by budro)
would be fine.

Is there anything I am missing? I'm pretty sure that I'll be using the passkey inevitably, but
I wanted to get input on the differences and preferences between chipping and flashing.

Thanks,

xCirusX
