pioneer 112D with firmware 1.24 wont burn backups

I was wondering if anyone is having problems burning backups with the Pioneer 112D with 1.24 firmware?

Guess nobody is having any problems with this drive and firmware. FYI I have a modded xbox 360 with a Haitachi drive with extreme firmware.

im' assuming the 1.24 firmware is the latest firmware from Pioneer for your 112d drive? are you using imgburn with the layerbreak set? how are you getting your iso? are you ripping with a kreon drive? what speed are you burning at? media?

Yes the 1.24 is the latest firmware from pioneer. I've ripped the iso from my original game using samsung drive with Kreon V1.00 firmware a number of times using different programs such as Xbox Backup Creator V2.7, Schtrom V3.4. Once the iso is created I Stealth check it. I haven't had an iso that hasn't passed a stealth check yet. I have tried to burn the iso using ImgBurn, Clone CD and XBC by selecting the dvd file and setting the layer break and then the burn speed to 2X. I've tried using different media including verbatims with no success. This seems the way everyone burns their backups so for the life of me I cant understand why I keep getting that dreaded message "to play this disc put in an xbox 360 console. I'm starting to think the problem could be the pioneer drive with the latest firmware because I've ruled out the problem being my xbox 360 since it can play backups and originals.

if you are using xbox back up creator u dont have to change any layer break just burn and thats it. if your using clone cd make sure the layer break is set to LayerBreak: 1913760 and then just burn .dvd file as normal

it could just be that your pioneer is messing up try another game see if you can burn another game

I managed to grab hold of some Verbatims made in singapore as suggested by jesterrace 777, great work by the way, and tried to burn the image with Clone CD, but for some wierd reason I now get this error message, "cannot open file\blacksite\COBRAM1ak=1913760.
reason:The system cannot find the file.
This is the same error I get when I try to burn the image with ImgBurn?

I then tried XBC and it comes up with a pop up "error reading the image descriptor file"

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

this aint much help but i had a similar prblem i reflashed my pioneer firmware and it worked fine ..have you treid to reflash the firmware?

Just reflashed the 1.24 firmware downloaded from official pioneer site but still getting the same message.

Not sure if this would help. But I was getting all kinds of I/O errors when I tried to burn using both imgburn and clonecd about a week ago. I did a full OS system reinstall and once I installed these programs my Pioneer has been burning clean.
