OK, I have used this software, AutoGK, for making AVI files of the ripped movies and it has worked flawlessly, thanks to the guides that I found here.

The question I have is how can I set it to make the volume louder? When I run the movie and even when my volume is set at the absolute full throttle, I can barely hear it. Can someone help me please with this?

If the audio is MP3, I don't think that there is anything in AGK to change the level (I believe that if the selected output size is over 700MB, then it defaults to AC3).

There is a volume adjustment in VirtualDub that could be used on the output file - assuming it's mp3.

It involves loading the file in VirtualDub.

On the menu, choose 'Audio' > 'Full Processing Mode' > 'Volume'.

Adjust the volume and test it with the output playback button (lower left of window, third button).

(The following assumes that AGK saved the audio as mp3,48000,128,stereo CBR)

When the volume suits, select 'Audio' > 'Compression' and choose 'Lame mp3' > 4800,128,stereo, CBR

From the 'Video' menu, choose 'Direct Stream Copy' then save the file.
