magic keys/ghost case and switch/ flip top WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES???

Whats the pros and cons of each of these? I use the ghost case with the ghost switch and love it.
I use a different method these days cause I am not feeling like tearing my new slim appart just yet but I need to know why so many people decide they want these magic keys and flip tops.

magic keys:
pros; dont have to open the ps2 up to install
cons; sometimes a bit of a hassle to install correctly
flip top:
pros; Less hassle once installed, dont have to fiddle around with keys as there nothing that will move out of place.
cons; have to open the ps2 in order to install
Theres not much of a difference really, the keys are for those people who dont want to open the ps2 up, and the flip top is for those who dont mind doing so. The ghost case is just a custom case, whereas the aim of the fliptop and magic keys is to hold the sensor switches down so that the ps2 thinks the disk tray is closed while swapping discs.

The ghost case is way more than just a custom case tho. The ghost case usualy is sold with the ghost switch and it has a pin that pushes on the sensor at the top left of the laser that is molded in.
I was asking cause I had a bit of trouble fitting the ghost case I had on my 77001 on my new 79001 and I thought that the keys were for the more updated models like mine. The insides and sensors are way different on the newer 79001's. It has no board under the lens carage it has nothing at all under the carage its just the carrage.
Im going to try again with the ghost case. I had only placed the ghost case top on the platinum 79001 bottom and it didnt line up right at all but I am going to take out the boards and stuff and use the ghost case bottom. If it works that way I still say the ghost case is the way to go.
All those others are just stupid like the flip top???? Why the hell would you do it???
The magic switch in the ghost case is so easy to use but it does not fit in the newer models!

Ok, i did not know the ghost case was meant to work like the fliptop, I was thinking of buying one 2 years back, and only remember it being a custom case. anyway, you have the pros and cons, i personally hate the fliptop, doesnt look good either.

Flip tops are disgusting and so primitive. But bad news, the ghost case wont work with the 79001 so I am going to have to get the keys I guess cause I cant fit the ghost switch in either. The hole for the ghost switch is to small on the 79001. Man Sony is getting hard to fool.
In order to use my AR MAX I need to use swap magic, then I need swap magic again after I select my codes to boot the back ups I wish to use but before I insert the swap magic I need to slide the ghost switch over to let the PS2 know the lid is being opened I guess. After that I insert my swap magic slide the switch back over and go about things like usual but the way I have everything setup now I cant do it like that. I cant re fresh the first sensor near the power switch.

Thats what got me annoyed about using swap magic, so I installed a mod chip, saves the hassle. anyway my ps2 is just collecting dust now, play mostly on the 360 now. ;)
