the topic says it all o.o and Im talking quality....I currently use PSP Movie Creator but the video comes out sketchy in the beginning

I used PSP Video 9 once or twice, but every time I put it in the video folders it didn't work.
Now I just use ImTOO because I got the platinum pack and it came with it.
It works fine for me now.
ImTOO does cost money though. =\
I think it is possible to get it illegally via torrents but that's illegal and nobody does that!

If you are talking avi to PSP i always use Magic IPOD/PSP/3GB, only takes about 30 mins and typically shrinks em to about 300-400mb. Works well even on the lower quality settings.
I never converted a Straight DVD to MPEG4

I think you mean Nero Recode :) That's the app in Nero that converts avi's, vob etc to a mpeg4 format compatible w/ the PSP.

Burning Rom is a burning app in Nero - doesn't convert video to mp4.

I use total video converter 3.10, this is good as it has a selection of conversion i.e, psp, ipod, nokia phone and a number of others. this also deals with screen resolution aswell.

Its great! it has all the stuff you need all you hit is dvd to psp and covert and boom you have your movie! Fantastic quality too. But it does take awhile... 3 hours is the wait time im used too.. But 300 and a bugs life look like it would on my flatpan tv!

i use anydvd and clonedvd mobile and I am pretty happy with them, there is also dvd43 and handbrake dvd43 has been updated pretty recently so you might give that a try

Well I was originally talking about DVD to Mp4 but for any video to Mp4 I use Sony Vegas 7 o.o they pratically come out in high definition

Thats a bit of overkill for just converting videos to MP4 format dont you think? That sony software is for hardcore editing..Its not like you would be able to put HD quality content on your psp...
As far as converting your DVD's to MP4 format-you can pretty much use any one thats out there..They are all basically the same deal..
The best ones I have found to work for me with the least amount of hassle are the DVDfabPlatinum, and the ImTOO Platinum pack. You can tweak the settings to suit your needs, and its easy to use.
