Have been out of the loop for a few years but did a mod on a couple PSOne's.I have been trying to decide which way to go for a PS2 version 7 that does not have a flip top but a sliding tray for disc, but I have not been able to find how to obtain any mod chips or swap discs. Does anyone know how to obtain these for a PS2 in US? Or am I out of luck?

Are you kidding?
Let me get this straight cause I might be having some comprehensive difficulties. You want a fat PS2 and want to mod it?
Ok,... well you have the INTERNET so do a search. You will within a few links find that the Fat ( sliding tray ) PS2 is the most popular to mod everywhere.
While on your search you will probably get side tracked a few times with stores and such that also sell mod chips or boot disc's in the US.
Hope this ummm helps.

It depends...I have a store called starland and they sell swapmagic discs.(Virginia) but I dont know if there is one where you live. You could check that. If you do have the ability to shop off the internet then you can go to starland's website estarland.com and order a swapmagic disc from there for 27 bucks. Starland is in USA so it doesnt (or shouldnt) take that long to ship. If you are in my situation (a teen who doesnt have his own card and parents dont wanna shop online) then you can just put enough money on a visa gift card to use online.

Dude I am by far young,....smart? I guess so, I can obviously use the search functions on the site better than most I see here these days. I'm just sick of seeing the same old topics that have been asked time and time again by new comers that take off as soon as some one stoops low enough to give what the want.
What is the "about reply"?
More smarts than someone who knows more than me?
I doubt you did anything to help find anything at all for yourself. In fact I can just tell cause the first thing you would have found was tons and tons of topics on fat PS2s and where they got the mod chips in the US.
Geee look at this, I used goggle and look what I got first thing! and that was just the begining!
Now, even here on after dawn we have a search function. Why don't you go and see what the results would be.

JadeKick, Thanks for the website and ideas. Have you ordered from the website before or just from the store? Never heard of the store before, live out in Arizona. I have ordered from modchip before Delmorte was properly conceived just have read in forums that modchip.com is having a problem with fulfilling their orders in good time, and I sent an email to their support last week and have not got a response from them. FYI I'm over 60 but still love to play the good game.

Modchip.ca has always been great for me. They have a customer service that's outstanding. When I order a chip, it takes 7 days or less to get to you from Canada.
