Excuse me... I downloaded a game for my psp, and it's in WinRAR format... I'm kinda clueless as to how to get it on my psp from there. Anybody know how?

And the lord said... "Screw that, I don't like her that much."

Well you wouldn't be uploading the game, rather opening the RAR.
Or would you be just uploading it to your PSP....is it transfering?
Well either way.

Download WinRAR and you will be able to.

if u have a rar file extract it. isos are also showed in winrar form so donot extract them. just put them in MS/ISO folder. if u cannot differentiate between iso and winrar. by extracting iso u will get a folder called PSP_GAME and UMD.GEN. which means it was an iso file. just open ur file with winrar so from there u know whether its iso or winrar.

iso files are showed with a rar symbol if you have winrar associated with isos
start winrar click options-»settings-»integration and untick the iso tab

So I put the iso file into my MS_ROOT folder, but the game doesn't show as playable... did I do something wrong?

No they said you place it in the MS/ISO folder. If you have custom firmware then go to System Settings then format the Memory Stick. Now connect the PSP to PC and enable the USB you should see an ISO folder in the ROOT of the Memory Stick. The ROOT is the main directory. the first directory you see when you open up the Memory Stick on the PSP (It has ISO/MP_ROOT/PSP/VIDEO/MUSIC etc. etc.).

Pay attention to what advice people give you and it will go allot smoother.

Do you even have custom firmware installed to the PSP?

Go to System Settings then to System Information then tell us what it says under System Software.

I'm not sure what custom firmware is, seeing as how I just acquired a psp (my first psp) some 10-11 days ago. However, I went to system information, and it says that I have system software version 3.80.

I can only assume that's what you were reffering to.

Custom firmware = mod firmware eg 3.71 m33-4 is a custom firmware (CFW)

u have offical firmware (OFW)

u need to use pandora battery to make it a CFW enabled psp

my (+[__]%) life

2.81 -> 3.71-> 3.71 m33-2 -> 3.71 m33-3 -> 3.71 m33-4 -> 3.80 m33 -> 3.80 m33-2 -> 3.80 m33-4

saddest (+[__]%) moment
