I have about 100 movies saved in TS file format. I am trying to convert them to DVD to play in home DVD player. I have used several progtams to convert(Win AVI, ConvertX to DVD, Video Redo Plus) then burn with Nero or AShampoo with my Liteon DVD burner. After burning to -r DVD the movie will play in my computer, but when I try to play in HOME DVD Player, I get Unknown Disc message.

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance for any help

Are they being converted to the correct video format (NTSC or PAL) before burning?

dvd compliance can be rough. some machines require at least 1 audio stream to be pcm or ac3, some require AUDIO_TS, some are picky with resolution. it could be that your player doesnt like your disks. start with the easy stuff. 720x480(or other supported resolution) pcm audio, try different disk

Like philzone say. NTSC DVD is 720x480 resolution with ac3 audio format. DVD should have VIDEO_TS folder with all VOB in it and AUDIO_TS folder(empty).

Anybody but me ever lurk elsewhere??

Heres how to deal with the pesky .ts files.

experiment with some of those suggestions.. I use a patched ffmpeg (non-windows) for them.. If they are b-r derived I don't know.
