Hey Guys,
First off I just wanted to say that I have looked through the guides and didn't find my solution. I am new to Ripping and burning DVD's so this might be an easy fix.

I'm trying to Rip and Burn an entire DVD9 DVD Movie. I started off by installing AnyDVD which is running the entire time. I placed the Newly released movie in the DVD Drive and AnyDVD does its thing and says I can access the DVD now. I open up CloneDVD, Latest Version of Both AnyDVD and CloneDVD by the way. I rip the DVD Files to my Harddrive. Not as an ISO but as a Video_ts folder. That all goes fine. When I procceed to burn the Files onto a Memorex DVD-R DL, It says it was successfully burned, but when trying to put it into an Xbox360 it will say Unreadable Disc, and when I try to put it back into the computer it won't read the disc at all.

Am I just missing something here. I would appreciate your help. If there is a guide I missed out there please point me to it.

I would recommend you use Verbatim DLs, made in Singapore, if possible. The best media available.

Is that really what the problem is going to be? Because I have burned my 360 games on Memorex DL's and they play fine.

It could be the problem, I'm only suggesting you use decent media. If other media such as Memorex "always" works for you, then by all means, continue to use it.

Well, I'm not saying that its not the problem. I've never burned DVD's before. But I started to just rip the main movie and burned those onto Memorex DVD-R's and they worked like a charm. Could my 3 year old Burner be the problem, it was a cheap CompUSA brand. I was thinking of picking a new one up. I just don't know, maybe I'm not decrypting the DVD Right

If you wern't decrypting you most likely would not get it onto your hard drive. Perhaps you're burning too fast, try about 2.4X or 4X for your dl media.

Tried it at the Lowest Setting 2.4x, I've been reading about some people setting to booktype to DVD-Rom, Would that make a Difference. I'm willing to trying anything with These Memorex DVD-DL, because I would like to get it sorted out before purchasing Verbatim DL's and making Coasters out of them. I appreciate you taking the time to help bilbo

Booktyping should almost always be done if your burner is capable. Remember, only +Rs cdan be booktyped.

all good advice above for sure...

dvd-r memosux and a dvd-dl memosux are 2 very different beasts indeed, out the 2 the dvd-r memosux is the one i would bet "could work" for a while 50/50 success rate. the DL is another ball game.

DL needs to be the top best you can get like mentioned most get good results with VERBS on the +DL format and booktyped to dvd-rom...

does your old burner booktype, newer DL burners do, imgburn needs to be set for it.

out of curiosity you mention clonedvd with anydvd running, is that clonedvd 2 or clonedvd ?

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

Just the newest CloneDVD, Does it need to be CloneDVD2?
Also, I highly doubt this burner Supports booktype, I'm thinking about upgrading my burner, how do I know if it booktypes?

not sure on clonedvd being ok never used it, but, most here will use clonedvd 2 with anydvd.

when buying a new drive just check the spec for bitsetting/booktyping

pioneers above 108 booktype

----------

if i was looking i would check out pioneer and lite-on (i got those now) so being good i would go for these again.

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

As was said for MOVIES Verbatim +R DL booktyped to DVD-Rom is your only real choice.
